Zahara attracts mostly Spanish tourists during the summer months, when the village comes alive with bars, restaurants, and venues on the beach for tapas, drink and live music. Zahara is located in the Andalucia province, renowned for its historical Roman sites, breeding farms for fighting bulls, and amazing birdlife. Zahara is only 15 minutes drive north from Tarifa, which is Europe's most southern town, most famous
for the international wind surfing championships held there each year. From Zahara's beach you can see the twinkling lights of Africa, and in only three quarters of an hour a ferry can transport you to Tangiers. This coast is where the best of Spanish and Moorish cultures merge, with the people laid back and friendly, most still getting their livelihood from the sea. It is a real undiscovered paradise, with a wonderful sense of isolation and tranquility, while only less than an
hour from the beautiful capital of Cadiz. The actual neighbourhood of the property in question is of traditional white wash homes and large palm trees, with a friendly, quiet community.

In the summer season, Zahara boasts 60 quality cafes, bars and restaurants. Closest airport is Jerez de la Frontera (3/4 hr drive) or Gibraltar (1 hr).
Closest main city is Cadiz (1 hr), but there is good shopping in the nearby town of Barbate (10 mins).
